How do you choose a frame?
Choosing the right frame is about enhancing the look of your artwork. We have a wide range of frames from sleek & contemporary profiles to traditional wood finishes, metallics, brightly coloured and truly bespoke hand painted finishes.
When selecting a frame we always consider your artwork, the colours, textures and what you want the framing to say about your piece.
We always help you to choose a frame and give guidance based on our knowledge and experience from many years of picture framing.
Our frame mouldings are FSC certified so you can be safe in the knowledge that sustainability is at the heart of what we do. (The mark of responsible forestry)
Mounts
Why use a mount?
A mount is more than just a decorative border. It is used to enhance, protect and provide space between the frame and your artwork to draw the eye inwards. Choosing colours and mounting styles to compliment your artwork, allows a bespoke mount to beautifully finish and present your artwork uniquely for you.
We have a great range of mount board in different colours, different depths, black core and conservation mount board for those special items that require preserving.
We love to show our creativity using double mounts, multi-aperture mounts for collages, deep mounts, float mounts and box mounts were relevant for the artwork. If you would like to know more, come and pay us a visit, we would love to see you!
Glass Options
Do I need options for glass?
It may come as a surprise to you that there are different glass options available for protecting your framed artwork.
Standard clear glass the economical choice, low reflection diffused glass to help reduce glare and improve visibility, acrylic which is great for large pieces of artwork and art glass the premium option with varying degrees of UV protection and optical clarity available.
We help you to make the best decision based on what the artwork means to you, where you plan to hang it and the clarity you want to achieve.
To fully appreciate the differences, its always best to see the different glass options in person, so come visit and see for yourself.
